They personally effect me because I use mine everyday. I remember back when I got my first smart phone, it was a little thing with a touchscreen. It was able to connect to the internet, but it wasn't all that great.

I didn't have an iPad when I was younger as they didn't exist yet. When I first saw an IPad I thought it was so cool. There were other tablets but something about the IPad seemed really special. A few years after the iPad came out, my sister got a package in the mail from our grandparents who lived in Florida. She opened it up and it was an iPad mini. I was pretty jealous because my little sister had an iPad, and I didn't (first world problems). Then, I saw there was a package for me too. I opened it up and it turned out that I had gotten an IPad as well.

Nintendo is a pretty famous game and electronics company, so it's no doubt the Wii was a big hit. The concept of using controllers in your hands and moving around with them was amazing to me as a kid. 
I would invite friends over and we would play Mario Kart until 2 in the morning.
