Hi Ms. Charles, I know you called on some students who got low grades in the initial quizzes. You told the students that if they do not get C by September 15th they will be automatically placed in the lower class. We found it very discouraging and unfair to judge the students based on the first few quizzes. Is it true that you can force a student to the lower class?

THIS DOESN'T SOUND RIGHT. THE CONVERSATION WAS MORE OF AN ENCOURAGING ONE TO LET THEM KNOW OF THEIR OPTIONS. THEY HAVE THE OPTION TO LEVEL DOWN IF THE CLASS BECOMES TOO CHALLENGING. THEY HAVE TO PROMPT THE LEVEL DOWN. I WOULD NEVER FORCE A STUDENT OUT OF A CLASS. IT'S DISAPPOINTING TO HEAR YOUR STUDENT FELT THIS WAY.
