Moana thinks growing up means to care for her community, but she still wants to leave so she’s kinda torn. I know this because in the music video you see her eventually side with her father but at the very end you see her glance back at the sea, she’s trying to ignore it. She thinks that being a chief on the island and not leaving is her only option so she tries to make the best out of it. (Also I am basing this off of what happens in the video rather than the dialogue being shared because you can tell by the facial expressions and body language that what I said is at least some what true).
