In the beginning of the play, Juliet's parents had arranged Juliet to marry a man much older in age, named Paris. This left Juliet obedient and willing to comply since she went along with her mothers plan. But the night of Juliet and Paris's party, Juliet meets and kisses a Montague. She begins to become excited as she and Romeo talk, and soon fall in love. This feeling of excitement and love is also being challenged by the emotion of sadness, because she and Romeo's families are feuding making it almost forbidden that she see him.

Due to the love felt emotion by Romeo, he kisses her and she kisses him in return. "O then, dear saint, let lips do what hands do! They pray. Grant thou, lest faith turn to despair" (1.5.101-102). In this quote Romeo is comparing kissing to hands coming together and praying, so this leads Juliet to feel guilted into kissing him. Juliet proceeds on to fall in love with Romeo, but this is bad because she can't love him since their families are enemies. The is leads to Juliet having a secret relationship with Romeo. "My only love spring from my only hate! Too early seen unknown, and known too late. Prodigious birth of love it's to me that I must have a loathed enemy" (1.5. 135-138). Juliet is explaining that the one guy she loves is the son of the man that she hates. When she first met him she didn't recognize him and now it is too late, for she is in love.

Juliet is is originally upset and frustrated because her last name, and Romeo's last name are the reason loving each other is forbidden. Romeo is in love with Juliet ultimately for her beauty, and Juliet loves Romeo because he sweet talked and persuaded her into loving him. This feeling of frustration is coming from her feeling of love towards Romeo, but being forbidden from seeing him because of the feud between their families.

Romeo and Juliet run off and get married, even though their parent's said "no," and kept their marriage a secret. "In one respect I'll thy assistant be; for this alliance may so happy prove to turn your households' rancour to pure love." -Friar Lawrence(2.3 92-94). Friar Lawrence is telling the two that he will marry them because he believes that their marriage could be the cause of turning the feud between the two families, to an solution of peace. "Come, come with me, and we will make short work. For, by your leaves, you shall not stay alone Till holy church incorporate two in one."-Friar Lawrence(2.6 36-39). Friar Lawrence is saying that they should come down to the church and he will marry them. This marriage between Romeo and Juliet, has first come off cursed because their marriage has already caused the death of Tybalt.

He doesn't even really know Juliet, he just likes her for her looks. Romeo doesn't seem to truly love Juliet, making her relationship completely based off he looks. This relationship is doomed because it is based off of false love and it is causing fighting and death, to their family members.

Distraught, upset, and suicidal. Juliet was all of these things once she had awaken to find her beloved Romeo dead by her side with a bottle of poison in his hand. Friar Lawrence tried to talk her into leaving the tombs with him but she insisted on staying. She then tried to kiss Romeo, hoping that there would be poison left on his lips, enough for her to die right alongside of him. Despite her hopes it didn't work so instead she grabbed his sword and stabbed in into her chest.

Juliet decided to kill herself after finding that her husband, Romeo, had done the same right next to her. "Yea, noise? Then I'll be brief. O happy dagger. This is thy sheath. There rust, and let me die" (5.3 169-170). Juliet has woken up and found Romeo dead. Friar Lawrence, panicking, says he hears a noise and that they must leave the tombs in an instant, but Juliet decides she is going to stay. Before the Capulet's and watchman enter the tomb Juliet grabs a dagger and stabs herself in her chest. "Sovereign, here lies the county Paris slain, and Romeo dead, and Juliet, dead before, warm, and new killed" (5.3 198-200). The first watchman tells Juliet's parents that Paris and Romeo are dead, as well as their daughter. They enter the tomb to find Paris slain, Romeo dead, and their daughter newly killed because she is still warm. Lady Capulet says this reminds her of her old age and that her time herself is near.

When Juliet woke up from the potion Friar had given her, the last thing she expected was to find her husband dead. Being completely filled with grief she then decided to take her own life. By waking up expecting to find Romeo and Friar standing there for her happy ending, she was completely off guard to instead find Romeo dead. The surprise of finding Romeo dead was too much for her to bear, leaving her to decide to end her life. For the Capulet's to walk in the tombs find Paris, Romeo and Juliet dead reminds them of their own age and the time they have left. This also leads them to talk to the Montague's and find peace finally withing within the long lasting feud that has been occurring.

The character's emotions have a large effect on the actions they take. Due to being distraught and upset Juliet decided o kill herself. Also, out of anger Tybalt picked a fight with Romeo and got himself killed as well. For instance, Tybalt was upset and angry that Romeo and his friends crashed the party, so he decided to pick a fight with Romeo and this landed him dead in the streets. The emotions of the Juliet changed from the beginning of the text, to the end. In the beginning of the text Juliet was excited and sad. She was excited because she had fallen in love with Romeo, but was sad because their love was forbidden. This then leads to Juliet being frustrated, in the middle of the text, because Romeo's family name is the only reason why they cannot be together. Finally at the end of the text, Juliet is distraught and suicidal because she woke up to find Romeo dead when she expected a happy ending for the two of them. The greatest consequence from actions of the characters are death and peace. First of all, due to Tybalt's anger and lashing out at Romeo, he ended up dead. To continue, Juliet being depressed at what she finds within the tombs leads her to end up dead. Finally, Juliet and Romeo's death had lead to the peace of their families, ending the feud that had lasted for many years. Juliet focuses mainly on Romeo and allowed this one relationship to determine her happiness. I do not suggest this because in the very en Juliet's emotions got the best of her and this ultimately ended in her death.
