Choose 3–4 jobs (the teacher can assign or let them pick).

Research basic facts about each job (can be done in class with phones/tablets or at home).

Write a short description (3–5 sentences per job). Use a structured format.

Example: A baker works in a bakery.
They make bread, cakes, and pastries.
A baker uses an oven, flour, and other ingredients.
They usually work very early in the morning.
A baker has to be patient and careful.

Present to the class or other groups.

Create interview questions for a job of their choice (or assigned by the teacher).

Practice conducting job interviews: the group can choose Group 3 if needed for this task.

Examples: “What experience do you have?”

“Can you work on weekends?”

“Why should we hire you?”

• Skills and strengths

• Availability and expectations

Use formal, polite language suitable for a real-life interview setting. This builds confidence in asking questions, using present simple, modals ("can", "would", "have to"), and developing active listening skills.

Example: name, skills, experience, reasons they are qualified for it: “I am good at communicating with people.”

Research and discuss what to wear suitable for the interviews regarding different job types. Use a structered format.

Discuss, based on the article below and your own research if the behaviour, facial expressivity has an important role in interview’s success.

Example: “Being calm/confident/anxious during an interview will probably/ will probably not affect the interview’s result.”

Design job ads like posters or flyers for a position.

Example: graphic designer, teacher, waiter, etc.

The ad has to include: job title, description, skills needed, salary and working hours. Use imperatives and present tense simple.

Example: “Must be friendly.” ; “Works 40 hours per week.”

Review fictional or real resumes and discuss what makes a resume stand out.

Example: “This resume caught our attention because of the formal language expression/ field of studies … as it is relevant for this position.”

Plan a strategy for how to promote the job opening (social-media, job boards, posters, career fairs) through a short presentation or a mock promotional campaign.
