The Roman Empire lasted for 500 years. During this time, they made laws and government and they developed the best army in the world at that time and ruled by force. Although the  Romans conquered areas that had different races and ethnic groups, the main languages spoken were Greek and Latin. The transportation across the Roman empire was either by sea on boats or land using horseback with carts, chariot, or by walking. Some of the main regions are Macedonia, Cyprus, Pisidia, Syria, Pamphylia and Thrace. Saul of Tarsus started out hating Christians and wanting to kill all the followers of Christ then when a bright light blinded him he converted to the faith and he loved Christians as he went around preaching to people about God and spreading his word. Paul was the first Missionary disciple. The conversion is significant because of what Saul went on to do and who he became- The Apostle to the Gentiles.

The purpose of this journey was to stop at the places he had visited on his first journey and due to a meeting in Jerusalem. Through the 13 letters St Paul wrote the main messages he was preaching was that we are all children of god, equality ‘one’, love, life after death, happiness and peace, be strong be armed, humbly, brothers and sisters, trust in justice, honesty, peace and love. The letters were highly individualized, responding to specific problems of the community to which they are addressed to.Overall Paul's letters were written to inspire unity among believers and to preach that we are all children of god.

Paul did not condone this because he did not believe that this was necessary, he believed that Salvation comes from believing in Jesus and not by works of the law, not saying the law does not have a purpose.

We live in a world that constantly offers ways for us to achieve happiness and if we can try to live a joyous life then we are living by the word of Paul.
