Bart Allan spent 16 years in the magazine industry, during which time he gained experience in photography, writing, and advertising. He later worked 4 years as a personal trainer at Back in the Game Health. In 2017, Bart Allan earned a single-subject teaching credential in science with an emphasis in biology and earth science at California State University. As part of his student-teacher training, he worked 6 months at Oxnard High School, where he taught grade nine earth science and grade 11 environmental sustainability. He also spent time tutoring students after school and during lunch. Since earning his teaching credential, he has taught grade seven science at Hueneme Elementary School District. Mr. Allan is a member of the California Science Teachers Association, and a volunteer with The Discovery Center for Science and Technology's astronomy program.
