On the first day of my internship, I focused on a variety of tasks throughout the day.

I started by learning about the company profile of Vedo Wellness, including the range of services they offer.

• One of their key services is External Counterpulsation (ECP), a non-invasive treatment for angina. This heart treatment is painless and does not require surgery.

• It involves placing inflatable cuffs around the patient's calves, thighs, and buttocks, which inflate and deflate in sync with the patient's heartbeat during the diastolic phase (when the heart relaxes and fills with blood).

• During the session, patients lie on a treatment table while the cuffs are managed by healthcare professionals to ensure they properly synchronize with the heartbeat.

I also took on the responsibility of maintaining the company's social media presence on platforms such as Instagram and TikTok, which requires constant updates about the company and its services.

Additionally, I learned how to perform health screenings for clients, assessing their health status, body composition, body fat, and visceral fat.

I also practiced the microcirculation test (MCT), which involves examining the client's blood capillaries.

Finally, I was tasked with cleaning the ECP equipment after each client finished their treatment.

  PEMF therapy involves using pulsed electromagnetic fields to promote healing and pain relief. It works by emitting electromagnetic waves at different frequencies to stimulate and encourage the body's natural recovery processes. PEMF therapy is commonly used to treat chronic pain, inflammation, and to enhance cellular function and health.

• BTT (Body Thermal Therapy)

  Body Thermal Therapy (BTT) uses heat to promote healing and improve circulation. This therapy typically involves applying heat to specific parts of the body to relax muscles, increase blood flow, and alleviate pain. It can be used for a variety of conditions, including muscle stiffness, chronic pain, and recovery from injuries.

Afterward, help the client exit safely, provide a towel, and ensure they hydrate. Clean the machine and area afterward for the next client, ensuring a professional and effective therapy session.

• The display screen shows real-time information about the patient's heart rate, blood pressure, and cuff pressure.

Learn to use the BP machine perfectly.

• To apply the cuff correctly, I need to select the appropriate cuff size for the client's arm, ensuring it covers about 80% of the upper arm and fits snugly without being too tight.

• Wrap the cuff around the upper arm about 1 inch (2-3 cm) above the bend of the elbow, ensuring it is placed on bare skin and not over clothing.

• Align the cuff with the brachial artery, which typically has a marking on the cuff to guide me.

• Lastly, make sure the cuff is secure but not overly tight to allow for accurate measurement.
