This song was included because Jacob captured a lot of memories with his camera, and most likely he'd have tons of pictures to sort through.

Paperback Writer - The Beatles
"Dear Sir or Madam, will you read my book? It took me years to write, will you take a look?"
This last song was chosen because of course, Riis has written 2 books. Joel Sartore is a photographer for national geographic now, so it would make sense for him and Jacob Riis to collaborate on a project. He could easily tweet his pictures  for all of his followers. 
Flashlight- He would need a flashlight app because when he in in the dark he needs a way for his camera to see what he is trying to take a picture of. He could use the flashlight app to shine light on the area and then photograph it.
