         <description><![CDATA[<div>Pleating can be done by sewing either by hand or machine but this video is going to show how they pleat the fabric in the pleating factory with no sewing. This video is taken in F Ciment Pleating located in United Kingdom. There are lots other pleating patterns and this one is the dragon scale pattern pleat, they called it Danys cloak. They use different pleating mold to pleat different pleating pattern. This 9 minutes long video is going to show the whole process of pleating.</div>]]></description>

His newest collection, Kathmandu, was inspired by recovery efforts in Nepal after the devastating 2015 earthquake:<br><br><em>"So our school assignment was to pick a city that we wanted to be inspired by for this collection. I ended with Kathmandu, Nepal, all of the trouble that they went through last year was really inspiring and I was able to take those ideas of imbalance and the destruction of culture and apply that to this new collection.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Textile printing is the process of applying colour to fabric in definite patterns or designs. In properly printed fabrics the colour is bonded with the fibre, so as to resist washing and friction. Textile printing is related to dyeing but in dyeing properly the whole fabric is uniformly covered with one colour, whereas in printing one or more colours are applied to it in certain parts only, and in sharply defined patterns.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Batik is part of art and craft. It is done by using wax and dye. The word batik is actually from a Javanese word "tik" which means to dot. Batik usually decorated on fabric but nowadays it can also be used on paper, wood, leather and ceramic surface. The process of making batik fabric will involve the delicate and repeated process of waxing, dyeing and boiling. Wax is important as it is used for colour blocking in the colouring process. There are variety of techniques can be used in making batik and the wax used also different depend on the surface that will be decorated. The dye used is wax resistant dye and usually called remazol. Through this video, we will be able to know the type of batik making and its process.<br><br></div>]]></description>
