The person looks dead on the ground with something under his head.This structure would be used to dodge any of the bullets coming their way.The two rocks could be symbolising both sides fighting and that the people where stuck in the middle taking the consequences.

This shows how brutal the war was because even livestock was killed in a battle not involving them. It brings sympathy to mind because it shows hienz much people were affected. It makes me think about how much damage and destruction came to a regular town.
Picture 2: I see dead people in a very damaged are in two different places in nature (next to a rock? And a forest). It seems like the right side is a battle field going downhill so they could’ve got killed running up and or down. It shows how the areas of battle differ so much and how there’s are tons of places you could hide and duck from others. 
Picture 3: In this picture I see a dead person laying down behind what seems to be a fort, but he could’ve possibly been hurt and that’s why he’s laying there because but he’s helpless. It’s deep down so it would be good shelter but in the case it seems like it may have not hurt. This man could’ve been a guard because his gun is leaning up against something like he was ready to shoot at any moment. This shows the reality of war and how damaging and horrible it actually can be. It makes me think that this war wasn’t one to joke about and that anything could happen at any moment.

Theyre all just looking all over the place. None of them seem to be equipped with weapons, just gear. They look like they’re looking out at everything around them exploring all they can see with their eyes. I see a bunch of dead livestock in a field outside of a house. This was made to show that there was probably a important event or to show the effect of modern people. This picture makes me think that Gettysburg’s also had a big impact on the regular people and their farms.

There are animal corpses by what appears to be a farmhouse. It appears as though there was a natural disaster or a battle that occurred. This was most likely made to show how the battle affected people and their lives. It makes me think that Gettysburg did not just affect the soldiers fighting, it affects the citizens who were living around. It shows the carnage of war.

1) There is a house and a lot of dead animals/people on the ground. There is nothing living but plants in this picture. There is a barn in the background and it looks to be morning. Maybe a battle had taken place beforehand. It might’ve been made to capture the essence of the battle that had taken place. It makes me think of Gettysburg because of the carnage this picture shows.

There are two barriers by the sides and in the space, there is a dead soldier, that fell from the pile of rocks in front of it. This was made to show the casualties that the unions faced, because their military was not as good enough as the army of the Confederacy. This makes me think that Gettysburg was not a simple task and there were many intellectual processes needed to survive this war.

Someone probably made this to explain how there would be battles in people’s backyards. It makes me think about Gettysburg because of all the death and blood around them.

Picture 3: The picture isn’t staged and there are multiple bodies lining up and down the hill. The confederate soldiers were trying to run up the hill and got shit one by one by the union. It makes me think of Gettysburg because of all the dead bodies.

Picture 4: I see the union soldier dead in between a bunch of rocks. The picture is staged because of the way the gun is standing up against the rocks and the way the body fell. He staged it to show that people are suffering because of the war.

Someone would publish this photo to show how the civil war happened in many places. This shows that there was death all around Gettysburg despite it being a small town.
2nd picture- I notice a Confederate soldier laying on the ground on a somewhat muddy ground. This was made because it gave insight of how harsh the battle was. 
3rd picture- I notice a hill full of dead confederate soldiers trying to rush up a hill. This photo was released to show the struggle to obtain high ground. 
4th picture- I notice a dead union soldier behind something that looks like a trench. This photo was taken to help us realize the terror of war and that peole are the ones being killed for political reasons.

We see a corpse of a man, presumably a dead man, and although it is staged, it seems to be that he was trying to protect himself by creating a blockade between two big boulders. I think the purpose of this photo is showing the terror of being a sniper in the midst of a war, and maybe even the 2 sides of the war, with a dead soldier in between.
