1. International students don't feel a sense of belonging due to cultural differences, perception of financial status between students, and the Language barrier between foreign students and Singaporeans which causes confusion.

1.1. The presence of a conflicting schedule between the school's timing and the individual's personal issue, relating to part-timers may produce an imbalance between work-life amenities.

2. As an institution, we should strive for a holistic approach as compared to other government-based universities, facilitating the quality of interpersonal relations and a sense of identity between students through the enrichment of participation, and individualistic value correlated to one's contribution to academics, thus facilitating this goal.

2.2. There is a lack of emphasis on the importance of Alumni's accomplishments and actions, thus lacking the prestige and admiration that should be shown toward new students who joined MDIS, thus, centralizing the purpose of this school to be an instrumental erudition [Education Wise] instead of facilitating students to form a sense of identity in the school.

3. Approaches that can be implemented are:
3.1. Integrating a Hierarchical reward based on an individual's education status i.e. Degree, a Higher Diploma, such as the privilege of unique places i.e. Study rooms in Libraries, based on the student's status that is allowed access to these places, accessing first-hand journals that aren't provided for students that don't meet the requirement [Based on Education Status].

3.2. Providing an Entry Examination to incoming students to gauge the ability of their academic erudition so that there is a sense of accomplishment and pride to be allowed entry to the institution.

3.3 Propose of partnerships with better-tiered universities than current list of universities, so as to have more prestige and self-esteem being a MDIS student who has graduated from a better university.
Eg. Psychology Degree from University of Essex (Kaplan) Vs University of Roehamption (MDIS)

Q1)

Staff: High or imbalance workload; student coordinator always changes and manages all the students in a course or module.

International students: Not much support; homesickness, language barrier causes them to fall behind on studies; especially for students with language barrier.

Student fare for transportation: Private institutions don't allocate concession cards for local students and would have to pay or fork out fares.

Student Discounts: Students who study in private institutions are often not given the similar treatment or respect when showing their student cards to compatible or participating outlets

Q2)

School Effort: various compulsory mental health talks for both staff and students at least 1 day per semester or term.

Support system allocated to international students to assimilate and deal with their situations better

Wifi: Students are unable to fully utilize the school wifi. That is dangerous

School maintence: Shelters are faulty (example, block D level 1 walkway is constantly flooded and does not provide any shelter coverage during wet weathers), hostel window handle fell to the ground level

Examinations room: aircon breaking down distracts students from concentrating and comfortably doing their exams

Canteen does not provide healthy eating meal options and students will resort to buying meals from 711 where most meals are instant food that have to be heated up with the FAULTY AND UNSANITARY microwave. thus students are unable to have the option of eating healthily

School scholarships: Lack of applications for school scholarships for students.

Staff: Lack of upkeep; lack of response to questions or issues brought up by students which they face.

Q3)

Upgrades and maintence of the school: School should conduct regular infrastructure maintainence, and techology like updated computers, projector, aircons, fans (Example: A fan in the toilet fell off the wall and onto our classmate in the Level 4 toilet, block D, next to the library in MDIS), and etc. Thus, it jepodises the safety of the students and their well-being.

Extended 2 weeks break period alternating between terms this would allow students to decompress and not be overwelmed to start a new term or semester

Shuttle bus: Accurate and closer intervals of 5 to 10 minss for students to arrive to school punctually to make it on time to attend lesson

School Scholarship: Open more slots for students to apply for school scholarships for ALL courses.

1)
- Staffs may feel emotionally and physically burned out from the excessive workload. e.g. constant change of student coordinators.
- Lack of muslim/ vegetarian stalls. Some students or staff may choose not to eat due to the limitation of the canteen stalls. And vending machine and 7-11 foods are not filling enough and expensive.
- Management is poor, that may make students/ parents frustrated and stressed. E.g. waiting for a long response, delay in payment to ICA for student pass, which may put stress on international student.
- Lack of students may be due to the environment of the school, they may not further their studies in MDIS but choose to pay more to go to another institution.

2)
- There’s no counselling sessions for students or provide a 1-1 lessons with the lecturer after class for additional help. And each module has a tight schedule and assignments are rushing which may put additional pressure on students who may have a difficult time catching up.
- There are limited stalls in the canteen that are open and does not cater to everyone, especially muslim students, so most would turn 7-11 to get food and drink, and lots of vending machine around the school which is not healthy as they contain a lot of preservatives.
- Lack of maintenance. e.g. air conditioning at the self-study was broken but not fixed, was fixed with duct-tape. And cleanliness in some classrooms, some classes have a smell.
- No student concession cards for discounts on public transport.
- Not every classroom has a proper table, it will be difficult to take notes.
- There’s no exchange programs or internship programs for some courses.

3)
- Provide counselling sessions for students, and additional academic help to help students who may have difficulties catching up with academic. And to also adjust the academic duration of the school year so that students will be able to understand more of the modules being taught rather than rushing and not understanding anything, and give sufficient time for assignments, as students may be working at the same time.
- Discount on rental for stalls in the canteen that will allow the tenants to rent a stall so that they will be able to accommodate to everyone’s dietary preferences. e.g. muslim stalls.
- Check to make sure that everything that needs to be fixed, be fixed so as to prevent any hazards to both students and staffs.
- Should provide every student with a student concession card because adult fare is expensive.
- Every classroom should have proper tables, in order for students to be able to take down notes easily and it has more space for them to place their belongings.
- Having an exchange programs or even internship programs allows students to think more broadly and also gain insights into new cultures and experiences to the course they’re studying.
