In the 1900's, people began to change their view of sneakers. Sneakers are not just made for sports but now used as a regular day shoe. Tennis shoes today have many different purposes and have different designs and color for fashion.

Tennis shoes are made up of many materials and some of these materials are found in all different places in the world. The upper part of the shoe comes from natural materials. Cotton and leather come from cattle in Texas, Venezuela and other cattle farms. Some other upper parts of the shoe are made from man-made materials such as nylon. The midsole of the shoe is made up of foam and plastic and these materials come from oil from Saudi Arabia. The outer part of the shoe has an all natural rubber sole and today most soles are synthetic rubber. Most of the rubber on the sole of the shoe comes from factories in Twain.
