         <description><![CDATA[<div>The term user interface is the way of that users interact with a comuputer.&nbsp;<br>Arround 30 years ago the way users accessed computers was very difficult. They had to memorize and type a lot of commands, for this reason only the experts used computers.<br><br>In 1984, apple produced macintosh, were designed to facilitate interaction with the computers through to a graphical user interface (GUI) and a mouse.<br><br>The GUI is a type of user interface that allows the users to interact with electronic devices through of a WIMP enviroment: Windows, icons, menus and pointer.<br><br>The most popular operating systems are: the windows family designed by Microsoft, Mac OS designed by Apple and a free and open-source software like Unix or Linux among others.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In the late 70's and early 80's computer access was complex, they have to use and  memorize lot of commands.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>In 1984 apple produces Macintosh the first computer with mouse and GUI that facitalitated the interaction with user.<br><br></div><div>Then windows launched an OS based on graphics and intuitive tools. A GUIU uses a WIMP environment.<br><br>The most important OS are: Windows family (Microsoft), Mac OS (apple), Unix (a multi-user system), Linux (open-source software developed under GNU GPL), Windows Mobile (used on PDAs and Smartphone's), Pal OS, RIM (blackberry) and Symbyan OS.<br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<pre>The graphical user interface is a computer program that acts as a user interface, using images and graphic objects to represent the information.

Usually, the actions are done by direct manipulation  to allows the interaction of the user with the computer. As examples of operating systems are Windows, GNU Linux or MAC OS.</pre><div>Some advantages of Windows are that the installation is simple and allows to assign different permissions to the users.<br><br>Linux is an open-source software developed under the GNU General Public License. The main function of this operating system is multi-user system. Many users can access the aplications and resources at the same time and each of them can run many programs at once (multitasking).<br><br>MAC OS was created by Apple and some functions it has are record video screenshots with Quicktime and dictate text to your MAC.</div>]]></description>

There is a desktop which contains the icons of folders and files. You can open them by clicking on twice. The most recent is Windows Vista.<br>Secondly, Mac OS, created by Apple and used on Macintosh computers.<br>Thirdly, Unix, open-source software developed under GNU General Public License.<br>Finally, Windows mobile, Palm OS, RIM and Symbian OS.</div>]]></description>

And then Microsoft launched Windows, with another GUI and nowadays almost every operating sistem has a GUI.&nbsp;<br><br>The GUI uses the WIMP, windows, icons, menus and pointer, this four elements are the most important elements of a GUI. You can drag almost every document and double-click to execute programs,&nbsp; surf the internet and more.<br><br>The main Operating systems with a GUI are Windows, Mac OS, Unix, Linux, Windows Mobile, Palm OS, RIM and Symbian OS.</div>]]></description>

Microsoft launched Windows, based on graphics. Nowadays, computers as a result, user-friendly systems.<br><br></div><div>The GUI uses desktop, icons, menus and pointer. The icons represent files or folders.&nbsp; When you are in a folder, you can launch a program or document or you can drag it to another location. When you run a program, you can work with difeferent tools.
