Some species live in shallow, coastal, region, other species live in deep waters , on the ocean floor and in the open ocean. Some species, like the bull shark, are even known to swim in salt, fresh and brackish waters. It is diffficult to estimate population numbers since there are many different species spanning a large geographic area. However, overall shark numbers are on the decline due to the many threats they face in the wild. Most species of shark eat things like fish,,plankton, marine mammals and other sharks. Sharks also have great sense of smell that allows them to detect blood in the water from miles away.Althought lifespan varies by shark species, most sharks are long-lived and generally tend to live for 20-30 years. Species like the spiny dogfish and the whale shark are believed to live for over 100 years.Sharks threats is illegal finning.
Vorizanos George
Michailelis Theodore

The bodies of the smallest bats are no more than an inch long.

While some bat populations number in the millions, others are dangerously low or in decline.

Some bats have evolved a highly sophisticated sense of hearing. They emit sounds that bounce off of objects in their path, sending echoes back to the bats. From these echoes, the bats can determine the size of objects, how far away they are, how fast they are traveling and even their texture, all in a split second.

They live about 40 days - 6 months (bigger bats have longer gestation periods).

The threats of bats are two.First, they are scared of people because humans are destroying their habitats.Secondly, climate change impact bats as well.Over the past 15 years, 30,000 flying foxes in Australia – the largest bats in the world – have succumbed to heat stress during heat waves that push daytime temperatures above 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
Nick Roussakis and Mike Kiralakis D2
