Then when I have done the EPK I’m going to rehearse my monologue. Trying to learn the monologue without looking at my phone for help. So when comes to performing I don’t need my phone for back up.

• CUT YOUR LINES!!!!! It's not fair on those that have cut their scripts

  You won't be able to learn your lines effectively until you have edited your script

  Remember you are being marked on collaboration and ensuring your script matches everyone else's is part of this collaboration

• A lot of the pauses are people being lost in their script. These pauses will be eliminated the sooner you are all off script.

• Know what scene you are on after (maybe create yourself a plan)

• Keep the energy going in your scenes; this might be the 498697592407th time you've performed this script, but it will be the first time the audience see it

• Work on the '/' indicators within the lines

Make sure 'I had a dream' is really clear, so the audience know you are talking about a dream, not a real like scenario

You have been tasked with staging a short excerpt of the play 'Doorsteps'.

SYNOPSIS – DOORSTEPS Inspired by the large possibilities of small space, Doorsteps features a cast of 6 playing over 40 roles across 13 unconnected scenes, all taking place on the American doorstep.

CHARACTERS (6O) Many roles are considered open with regard to gender, race and ethnicity. It is hoped that over the course of a production run that such roles are performed by varying actors, allowing certain scenes to flourish and grow in unique ways.

TIME Now.

PLACE The American doorstep.

THE STAGE A single doorstep leads to the door of a Midwest American home. Steps may lead up from the stage level to an elevated porch to the doorstep before the doorway.
