Rainsford has to fend for his life against a very well off man named Zaroff, who he originally thought had good intentions. Zaroff promises that if Rainsford is triumphant, he'll take him home... but something about that just seems a little too fishy for Rainsford. He's a man with lots of experience and upholds himself to a higher standard as regular hunting is no longer a thrill..so, humans it is.  Zaroff found himself in a bad situation when Rainsford set that trap for him yet remained cocky about the situation. He wasn't taking failure as one of his options. Rainsford started out in a panic but quickly got his barrings. I love the amount of suspense and thrill while reading this story and although the ending is happy I wouldn't have minded if it was dark. I love this story and that is why I chose to write my report on it.
