Writing/using their native language helps them feel more comfortable in this school environment. As a diverse teacher, it is my job to include many different forms of differentiation for all of my students, especially the ELL's. Many of these students are able to see the direct connection between images and words. Each of these skills incorporates hands-on activity as well as visual aids.
