Dans, one of the earliest recorded painters in Philippine (colonial) art history, has two works on display at the Pate Parish Church in Laguna. The three-level painting Langit, Lupa at Impierno depicts the Holy Trinity, Mary the mother of Christ, saints, the Seven Blessed Sacraments, and a macabre depiction of hell. The group, led by Pedro Mateo and Saralogo Ambaristo, were met by a Spanish-led army to counter the challenge.          <description><![CDATA[<div>-Representational Art<br>-Conventional<br>Ventura is a contemporary artist from Manila who graduated from the University of Santo Tomas with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting. After graduating, he taught at the same school but discovered his true calling as a visual artist after his first solo exhibition at the Drawing Room in Makati in 2000. Ventura's work is known for having multiple layers and focusing on the human form. His paintings combine comic sketches, reality, and graffiti in a dramatic way.
