Hi, all! I am excited to be starting my first year at U of O with all of you. I grew up in California and completed my undergraduate and Master's degree at University California, Santa Barbara. My research interests include socialization skills for toddlers and children with ASD, increasing motivation in academic tasks, and training paraprofessionals to implement evidence based practices in inclusive environments. I have worked as a behavior interventionist for the past five years and just recently received my BCBA. My background in autism and Applied Behavior Analysis has led me here for my PhD.

This is my eleventh year teaching this course and I have enjoyed revising and enhancing it to meet incoming doctoral students needs and interests. My field-based experiences prior to getting my PhD was as a school psychologist in CA. Since receiving my PhD, I have focused on supporting States/Districts/schools on implementing effective instructional practice, primarily in the area of early reading. But I love to get geeky about a lot of things—as all doctoral wanna-bees are :)

Hi all! I am looking forward to getting to know everyone! I am from Vermont, and earned my BA and MA from Johnson State College, a small liberal arts college in the northeast corner of the state. In between degrees I spent a few years in New York City. My research interests include college accessibility for diverse learners, autism spectrum disorders, and post-secondary transitions. My prior experience leading me to the UO includes work as a behavior interventionist, coordinator of a supported employment program, high school SPED teacher, and as the Assistant Director for a residential program supporting college students with diverse learning needs. Looking forward to working with you all!

Hi! I'm excited to be at the U of O and can't wait to explore the West Coast! I grew up in Maryland, went to University of Maryland for undergrad (German) and my Master's (early childhood special ed and severe disabilities), lived and taught elementary kids with autism in Charlotte, NC the last 4 years. Based on questions I had and issues I came across during 6 years of teaching elementary special ed (inclusive and self contained settings), I'm interested in early intervention with kids with ASD, upscaling interventions and EBP for classroom settings, and preservice/teacher training. I had an awesome 12 day roadtrip to move out here; here's me in Glacier NP on the continental divide (holding my souvenir magnet) :)

Hi! I am excited to start my doctoral program here at UO. I come from a city called Luoyang (one of the ancient capitals of China and famous for its peonies). I received my master's degree in Human Development and Family Studies from UW-Madison. My training has been primarily with typically developing children--I studied parent-child interactions and child development within family and community contexts. I became interested in autism intervention when I was a behavioral interventionist for toddlers and school-aged children. My research interests lie in the areas of decreasing challenging behaviors and developing parent-professional partnership and more...I look forward to learning new knowledge and trying new things here at Eugene. (Here are the peonies in full bloom in my hometown).
