In certain situations receiving a high grade is all the student can think about because they do not want their GPA's to drop. With the added pressure to pass your classes and succeed, it adds another layer to be untruthful to succeed. Classes should not be so centered around grades and should focus on actually learning and taking in the material. How would the professor evaluate the students knowledge? The teacher should focus more on discussion boards, assignments, and potentially papers.
