I feel that this poster help us to understand that conservation during the war was important, so the troops can have most of the materials. That citizens should take part in conservation and salvage campaigns. During the war, gasoline, rubber, sugar, butter, and some meats were rationed. So if you don't conserve you will be helping the nazis win the war.

I think this is the most important propaganda poster because it changes women's minds on what their role is this society is. And that they should not just sit at home and worry about their husbands that are at war fighting for their lives to protect the country. Also that they should get a war job so that they can feel included in this fight and not feel so depressed all the time and to have something to keep their minds off the chance that their husbands might not come home.During World War II, some 350,000 women served in the U.S. Armed Forces, both at home and abroad. I feel like this propaganda poster below is the effective because it show that women can be part of the war as well as the men. Women have things to do during the war just like the men on the battlefront. They are as important as any other people in the world and they have to start ration so that everybody have enough food to survive the war. It shows that the women can be brave too not just the soldiers. They have things to do at home like taking care of their children, house chores and grocery shopping. _{I agree with Lexie because every women has a job to take care of once their men have gone to war.}

I feel like the propaganda poster below is the most meaningful to me, because it represents that when men are in the war, women have a lot of responsibilities, and taking care of everything at home, their children, their jobs, making a living, and it makes it worse having to worry about their husbands while they're at war and have no communication at home. Back then taking care of children was different. Now-a-days, Moms have to take their children to their sporting events. Like one of her sons has soccer practice, or a tournament. Then, they had to help get them dressed, bathing was more difficult - especially when most of the water went to the men for drinking water - and sometimes they wouldn't be able to even bath once a week. And if you were really low class, there would be an extremely low chance of getting a bath at all. Women had to do all the laundry, and the cooking, and usually people looked down upon women, but this poster shows that women are people. Humans. We are important. We can do it!

I think that this is the most meaningful poster. It shows Hitler and the Axis Powers destroying a church. The church represents the freedom of religion. Freedom of religion is a very important right in America. After all, most people came to what would become America to escape religious oppression. Hitler wanted to remove that. America even has God in it's Pledge of Allegiance. his is why I believe that this is the most powerful piece of Propaganda.

I felt the picture of the Nazi's stepping on the churches had the most impact. One thing the Nazi's wanted to do was to wipe out religion. Hitler hated the Jews. My dad's side of the family is all Jewish. So is Hitler were to get to America, who knows what could have happened to my family. On my mother's side my grandpa and great-grandpa were both pastors. Also if the Nazi's were able to take over America we would lose all sorts of freedoms like religion, speech, and press.

I agree with Cole that the church represents freedom and the Nazi's wanted to get rid of that.

This poster is the most effective poster to me because it shows that Women are involved in the war just as much as men. This poster says that victory waits on your fingers and it has a picture of a woman with a typewriter in front of her on the poster. When it say keeps 'em flying, Miss U.S.A it tells me that women are a big part of the war even though the are not fighting. This also shows that the women do not just sit around the house waiting for their husband to come home. They know that they may or may not come home without their help. The women support their husbands even though they are thousands of miles away fighting to save our country. Without the women's help, the men might not believe in themselves because they do not have support from home. The women are sending their husbands letters from their typewriter as much as possible. That is the poster says that victory waits on your fingers.

I agree with Bree because she has the same thoughts as me and shows that women really do help out the men from home.

This poster is the most effective to me because it shows how both African-Americans and White people. It didn't matter what color you were this war brought both sides together to help America. They didn't care if your were black, white, or Mexican you could help the U.S. win the war and get all those soldiers back home. They wanted them to fight for the Red, White, and Blue.

I think this is the most effective poster because it shows the swastika on a boot, which represents Nazi Germany, stepping on a church. The church represents religious freedom, which Hitler wanted to abolish. Freedom of religion was an American right.

I think this poster is very emotional and effective. It shows women that men are busy in the war and they are needed to do other jobs. About 350,000 women served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Women worked either from home or abroad. Posters like this showed women that they were needed in the war too,and that they shouldn't just sit around worrying about they're husbands in the war. These posters also show that war wasn't only a mans job.

This is what I beleive is the most effective due to the fact that it shows exactly what the allies were faced with, this show the terrible side of the foes. It's clear to see that they would torture. They would massacre many just of their beleifs. Nazi brutality, it shows how brutal they were, it's even stated tat all men of Lidoce, and Czechoslovakia have been shot. During the night of broken glass or Kristallnacht this kind of brutality was shown again, with Jewish shop being raided, and ruined. It is also shown in this picture by having a man with a bag over his head, and is hand cuffed.

I agree with "papa smurf". It does show how the Nazi were extremely powerful at the time, and that if the allies hope to with they need to fight with everything they have. At the begining of the war the Nazis were able to take over france, and had an extremely strong army. They most likely would've taken britain if the british didn't show their resolve, and fight back with everything.

I think that this poster is very effective because it shows just how much everyday people contribute to the war and can affect others. Anybody who shares information about the war carelessly does contribute. You never know who is listening and it is crucial that people realize this. Any person that lets information loose can cost hundreds of thousands of lives. Civilians and leaders from opposing countries are always on the lookout for anything of importance. No one else should lose their lives because you feel the need to speak of classified information about the war openly.

I definitely agree with Halle and her interpretation of one piece of WW2 propaganda. It shows just how much the fighting of adults can affect our children. We shouldn't let our children live in fear because of the fighting of the adults around them.

This poster is really important and effective because it depicts the fact that are innocent children of the war. Children are children and just want to play outside or stay up past there bedtime. They shouldn't have the burden of starving or the fear of getting shot when they walk outside. This poster can emotionally connect to families during world war two because parents just want the best for their children. And if the atomic bomb hits an area of innocent children, society will forever be reminded of all the innocent children killed and injured in the war by the permanent shadow. This poster can really rewire the way people look and think about the war in terms of children having to go into hiding or scared to death about an atomic bomb hitting their homes and once again be reminded that they are just innocent children.

I agree with Gracie because men were sacrificing a lot while fighting but women also had to sacrifice a lot in the war too.

I think this poster is the most effective because everyone can talk of sacrifice or say they can do something but this man has actually done it. Anyone can say they would die for their country but he has actually done it. I think this makes you appreciate the people who go out and fight and die for our country. It makes you think about how they risk everything every time they go to work because they love their country. Every time he goes to war he knows he might not come back, but he does it anyway.

This poster specks to me because we talked about the sacrifices they made but they saw the sacrifices first hand. They know the meaning of sacrifice. They sacrificed just to keep us and the place we lived safe. They sacrificed there lives for you and me so we could see what would become of the this world good or bad. They used there strength to succeed even if they had to sacrifice their life. <3

This War World 2 poster is important to me becase it supports the war by the bonds and incurages help for families at home. While the men were out at war fighting the woman were at home working, taking the mens jobs, and still raising families. The men did not have it easy but neither did the women and this poster supports both of them. The hands represent Germany and Japan keeping our men at war and also putting the woman and children indanger. By buying war bonds it helps the production of supplies for war and home and keeps the men fighting safer and healthier. The men at war fighting for safety then everyone is safer at home.
I agree with Julianne because its important to me and most patriots to be loyal to their country and leaking secrets in the middle of a major war is in no way being loyal.

I find this one the most effective and emotional because this shows how much it affected others when someone talked. The other people on other sides could always hear you. This shows it. This lady, a citizen, talked and someone from another country must have heard her and then they found out what her country was going to do, and now she is wanted for murder because just a few words during a time like this could, and may have gotten someone killed. During a sensitive time like world war two, you have to be careful and aware of your surroundings, because something may slip, that will get you killed, and many other civilians.

I agree with Julianne because hers was very true, and explained the ways everyday civilians could make consequences for their whole country.

I chose this picture because it in this time of war they needed all people and they wouldn't care what race you were as long as you helped in the war. They needed to be united so they could overcome the Nazis and Japan. They are showing that they need to win and we could all do it together. They are saying that lots of things are achievable if you work together.

This is was the most effective and emotional to me because it shows that women help in wars too. Not only the men's help win the war. It's true that they fight but women also work. They don't just sit in the house just waiting for their husband or sons to come back home. Women at homes support their loved one who are off at war fighting and write letters to support and encourage them, also to make them feel like they got this like "I can do this!" Every men at war has at least one lady at home either it's relatives or wife. Without the support from their love ones waiting at home, they wouldn't have as much self courage and belief in themselves. Reading their love ones letter could make them work hard and try to make them proud.

I think this picture really represents how brutal the Nazis were. If I saw that during WW11 I would want to do something to prevent the Nazis taking over America. That is what makes it so effective.

I think that this poster is really important to World War Two because it really shows how much thought and engineering goes into combat. It also represents the will and man power that goes into these tanks. Without tanks we would not have won the war because we would not be able to go forwards because there would still be a stale mate in the trenches. There are many reasons tanks are important and a huge reason is the fact that they save infantry stuck in a battle. They do that be driving into battle and all the infantry goes behind the tank, so that plays a major role in the casualty rates.

In the time of World War 2 most people depended on god and the church and we need church to share our relationship and thought with good and it means a lot to me when the Nazis and other countries are trying to destroy something that people depend their lives on and it makes me mad that countries don't care about everyone else's religion and feelings but it also makes me happy to see that people are fighting for their proud home and giving their lives up for their religion. I agree with Cj when he says that when we work as a team we are stronger and that gives us a chance to have world peace.

I think that the poster is saying that our nation's children were hiding from the shadow. In this case, the shadow is a nazi symbol so it's saying that if we are gonna keep our children safe we have to fight by buying war bonds.
I agree with Lindsey because they were brutal and showed no mercy. They were awful people and killed innocent people and I think Lindsey and her propaganda poster demonstrates that perfectly.

This poster is more effective to me because the dog is laying on a couch waiting for its owner to come back, but they won't or can't come back because they are dead. Because bunch of people died during our first attack of World War 2. Plus its saying that everybody talked about what happened and what they felt. Ans to tell you that you should not go against the United States at all. I agree to this because it is saying somebody is talking. Its saying that people are telling their tells about what happened when we first hit Hiroshima. And thats what the dog below symbolizes to me. And my grandpa was in World War 2 and he had his dog at war with him. So this is why I pick this poster. Because it reminds me of my grandpa when he was in World War 2.

This is a poster of a young woman holding a waving American flag wearing a white dress. This poster is effective because it shows a woman in the battle field with soldiers who a struggling to move forward. the woman is holding the American flag to signify home and what to fight for and it says to fight or buy bonds to help protect your family and home.
I agree with Emma because our children (family) is one of the most important reasons to fight and win the war in any way you can which can include buying bonds.

it shows that woman can help fight in the war too. Rosie the Riveter is represented as a strong, competent woman dressed in overalls and a bandanna. she was a symbol of patriotic womanhood.

this image is a sinister looking soldier wearing a German helmet and is peering over a wall at the viewer. this became an icon of military prowess and national pride, while for the Allies it became a symbol of menacing evil.
