Doing this project showed me that it can work, I feel our presentation worked fairly successfully as we all put our own input into each part of the powerpoint. And so when it came to presenting to others groups our findings, there was no issue with other group members being absent.

Meeting up at Marylebone High street was not too much of an issue as we had a clear time and place to meet. I arrived about 40 minutes before my group, this gave me time to walk up and down the high street on my own and so I could gather my own feel and opinion on this given shopping district. After I walked the high street I had time to sit on a bench and people watch. I am so glad I did this as most of my group seemed to be in a rush to get it over and done with. Therefore if I showed up on time I don't think I would have been able to fully get the feel Marylebone has to offer.

After this I felt the group lack a bit of communication with the write up onto the slides. To me the presentation could have been more consistent with the layout, I would change it myself but others got a little defensive with certain slides.

To conclude, the presentation and project went fairly well. If I had a chance to do it again, I would improve on the communication skills so the project would work more seamlessly.

Exploring each individual rooms was really walking through the last 30 years. Seeing pieces that are older than me really gave me a taste on past generation's trends and styles. It also shows how trends are coming back onto the scene.

One designer that really inspired me was Matty Bovan. This is because of their use of textures, they really were pushing the boundaries of what textures should and shouldn't be on the same garment. The techniques were used throughout the collection with an adaption to each silhouette. This made the collection super fluid. I could imagine how seamless the catwalk show was.

I really loved how interactive the exhibitor was. With old fashioned box televisions to advanced interactive mirrors. This really added the finishing touch to the exhibition, showing me and others more history just in a way than just reading.

Overall, I did have a wonderful experience at REBEL: 30 years of London Fashion. I would recommend anyone to go visit even if they do not intend to work within the fashion industry. People should see and learn the work and perseverance of the NEWGEN's and what they have achieve to gain London Fashion's status today.

I do think it is hard to say I have one style or aesthetic. I think this is due to society being extremely excepting and experimental itself. I love this because I also really enjoy playing around with my style. This is either following the trends or going against them. I do believe this experimentation comes into play when it is a season change. I called this limbo within the media as no one really knows what to wear or where fashion is going due to the 'trending list' hasn't appeared yet.

For example this year's summer to autumn season change was a fun one for me. Summer was full of colour, playful shirts and dress. And especially the gingham co rods sets for me. To an extreme change to baggy cargos/parachute trousers and knitwear, I called this my 'bin bag' look. I've noticed this winter I've steered away from bright colours to more neutral tones. This style unintentionally stems from scrolling through the media and picking things out I like and playing with some insane pieces to create a style that works well with my features.

Overall, my style chops and changes all the time but the one thing that has always stayed the same is my love for trainers. I keep most up to date with the shoes that are trending more than anything else.

to conclude I would agree to an extent that trends and subcultures influence my identity/style. This is due to me not really keeping up with what is 'trendy'. I just give myself the freedom to pick and choose what I like. If I'm comfortable in what I've got on I'm happy and that is what I feel fashion should be for everyone.
