         <description><![CDATA[<div>They don't have an official national food, but they do have a wide variety of foods.<br>1. Chivito: a sandwich made of steak, ham, cheese, tomato, lettuce and mayo.<br>2. Choripán: The most popular fast food dish in Uruguay, <em>choripán</em> is a grilled chorizo sausage served in a crusty bread roll. It is usually eaten with chimichurri sauce, which in Uruguayan cuisine is made with parsley, garlic, red pepper flakes and oregano.<br>3. Empanadas: These small pies come with a variety of fillings and are eaten throughout Latin America and Spain. The doughy delights are traditionally stuffed with cheese and meats; you’ll be served these as a snack at parties or as a starter in a restaurant.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Originally founded as a military stronghold, in its older days, was annexed by Brazil back in 1821. Seven years later, they were finally independant again. Later, in the 1960's, they dealt with and smashed the rebels trying to uprise, but the government took over more land. Later in 2004, the first non- Colorado and National (Blanco) party person was elected.</div>]]></description>
