About a day later he comes to you , 'his only true friend' , to tell you about what he did and begs you not to tell the police or even a psychologist. According to the pre-conventional scenario : People act the way they do in order to avoid punishment. So in this case you would decide to remain silent and not risk your friendship. In the conventional stage : People make judgements in terms of whether the act which was done was right or wrong . In this case : You would rather step up and inform the police and a psychologists since it is ethically right to do. At the postconventional level : A person decides whether an action is justified based on his/ her own moral judgements. In this case you may find out that what your friend did was unintentional and he had no means of killing the person .. so you decide to keep the crime a secret . He also changes the music, not concentrating on the road. Suddenly he hits a another person. That person is dead.
As the man is standing in shock, a woman comes up to the man in tears and says she killed the person.
The woman, for some reason, thinks she killed the person. He can blame the woman and she will go to jail. Or he can say he killed the person.

Pre-conventional: the man blames it on the woman to avoid punishment and not go to jail( profit)
Conventional: the person admits it was him/her because right and wrong is determined by society's rules and by laws.
Post-conventional: the person does not take responsibility for the death of the person because, even though the law says it's a crime, if he goes to jail, it violates his values such as freedom and right.

Suddenly the woman's face turns blue and starts choking. One of the waiters jumps to help and preforms the heimlich maneuver to save her life. He succeeds but sadly breaks the womans rib. 
Pre-conventional: One might say that this is wrong because hurting people could cause them to hurt you back, or for you to go to jail.
Comventional: One might say that thats the right thing to do because everyone watching will applaud and be pleased with what you did. 
Post-conventional: One might say that that is the right thing to do because breaking a rib is a small price to pay to stay alive. Suddenly , the mother asked the daughter to give her some money to buy some cigarette . The daughter either buy the mother a cigarette or give buy herself something. 
Pre-conventional : One might that a daughter will give the money to the mother even though there is bad consequences. 
  Conventional: One might say that the daughter should do that to gain her mother's love
Post-conventional :  Some people say that the daughter should follow ethics instead of giving the danger to her mother
