I feel the best way for me to do this, is just by following the number sequence, so here we go:

1.) My name is Noah Williams, and I am from Bessemer City, NC. (I always tell everyone I’m from Charlotte, because not many people know the small town of Bessemer)

2.) My content area is Music Education. I teach both band, and choir at Highland School of Technology in Gaston County.

3.) I am definitely interested in learning more about the history of education, and how we got to where we are today… but I am most excited to learn about the various, and diverse perspectives of teaching philosophies. 

4.) My favorite summer activity has got to be going on my annual family beach trip to Myrtle Beach, SC! It’s always such a great time spent with family and friends, and most importantly, time to just get away from reality for a bit.

My name is Bailey Beam, and you can find me in Lincolnton, NC. My content area is music. I currently teach middle school chorus in Lincoln County. 

I am excited to learn about the history of education and why our education system is what it is today. I also look forward to learning how to apply all of that to my chorus classes.

My favorite summer activity this summer will be competing in the Miss North Carolina Scholarship Pageant. Besides pageant festivities, I enjoy hanging out anywhere near water!

My name is Taylor Moore and I live in Valdese, NC. For reference, it is about 30 minutes from Hickory and is very close to Morganton. 

My content area is Education, but specifically Music Education.  As for what I hope to get out of this class, I mostly look forward to understanding the world of education a little bit better. Most of my undergraduate courses were focused quite heavily around music and very little time was spent in the education world. So, I look forward to seeing how Education fully mixes with music.

My favorite summer activity is going on adventures with my friends and family. I do not get a lot of time during the school year to spend weekends with my friends and family, so I always look forward to that during the summer.

My name is Naomi Askew, and I currently reside in my hometown of Lenoir, NC. Located about 30 minutes from the Hickory campus.

My content area is music. I hope to teach Elementary music. 

During this course I look forward to gaining a deeper understanding of education. My undergraduate degree is in Vocal Performance, so I have much to learn about being the classroom!

My favorite summer activity would be spending time outside, either playing with my dog or gardening. This summer I am getting married in beautiful Colorado.

   The content area I am in is PE. I am hoping to teach general education in kindergarten through 6th grade. I  love kindergarten and seeing the students learn.

      My favorite summer activity is traveling to the mountains or to the beach. Also, I love to hike to water falls.
