The image of God that was portrayed by Jesus was an Olympian figure. He is someone who sees and knows everything, though for Zacchaeus, he sees himself as the complete opposite because of his smallness that prevents him from seeing temporarily.

The meeting of Jesus and Zacchaeus was not a coincidence, God orchestrated it to create the salvation. As Jesus approached Zacchaeus, Zacchaeus hurriedly went down from the sycamore tree. He was overjoyed because people commonly viewed him merely as a tax collector, looking down at him, but because of Jesus, he began to develop a new perspective in his life.

Through Zacchaeus’ perspective, the images of God that were formed in his mind during the encounter was all-good, all-love, all-joy, all-pure, and domesticated pussycat. From an untouchable Olympian figure, Jesus became all-good, all-joy, all-pure, and a domesticated pussycat, or in short, a friend to Zacchaeus that he didn’t expect to have. It led to a huge conversion because Zacchaeus used to belittle himself a lot, having the Napoleonic Complex or the small man’s syndrome.

In the same case with Zacchaeus, I, too, suffered from a Napoleonic Complex. Although almost all the time, I suffer from the syndrome, there was a case in my life that became unforgettable to me. When I was in the seventh (7th) Grade, I didn’t expect that I would experience to be a victim of bullying. I was enjoying my life as a starter of Junior High School until someone started to see the flaws I have. At first, they took a lot of attention to my hair because it was very curly, they laughed at it and it really didn’t have much impact to me. However, I did not notice that it would be intimidating once the people around me criticize it the same way.

Because of that, I started hating it too. The bullies did not stop criticizing everything I have aside from my hair, so I made an effort to put something good that would be remembered under my name beside from my flaws. I studied well and joined organizations that I thought I was good at. Still, bullies did not stop from criticizing me until I became depressed. Then, I came to realize that I can never control the views that other people have of me, even though I was eager of changing their perceptions.

In a positive thought, I didn’t expect that a complete stranger would slowly diminish the Napoleonic Complex I had for myself. He came to me saying that I’m not as low as the bullies thought of me, that I’m not a witch or the other stuff that they called me. He became special to me because he helped me achieve a new perspective for myself, and that is, to continue my good will even though others may view it the wrong way.

I saw myself in Zacchaeus when he climbed the Sycamore tree. For me, he showed persistence in seeing Jesus. Just like me, I am very persistent in attaining my goals in life. Sometimes, the way people look down on me affects my actions, but I always strive to set aside those feelings as much as possible. I think what struck me most in the story is when Jesus went to the house of Zacchaeus, it showed how he doesn’t have any exceptions in accepting people in his life.

God can be many things, he can be someone so high that he would be considered as an Olympian God, a possessor of magical powers that can heal people, a judge to say if the things that you are doing is right or wrong, an all good and an all-powerful God, or even your father.

I guess that the image of God that was portrayed by Jesus to Zacchaeus is the image of being a possessor of magical powers. Why? Because it was stated in the video that the reason why Zacchaeus wanted to see Jesus is because there is news going around that the Messiah, someone who heals people with just a touch of his hands is visiting their city. It could also be that the image of God that was portrayed by Jesus to Zacchaeus would be someone who is within reach. Someone who could connect to you. Since, when Jesus approached Zacchaeus He looked up at him. And for Zacchaeus, it was already a big deal. Since, as far as he can remember, no one ever looked up at him, and when Jesus the almighty God looked up at him, he was deeply moved.

The image of God that was formed in Zacchaeus’ mind during the encounter is that he is a God whom he can relate with, a God who is within his reach. Since, he is a God who forgives and lets people in. He loves everybody with no exception. “God’s acceptance has no exceptions”. With God, you always have unlimited chances. It means that God’s love for us is not based on what we did in the past, how much bad or good you’ve done to yourself or to others. Based on what Zacchaeus saw in Jesus, he doesn’t have to get it all together, he doesn’t have to prove anything to anyone, he just needs to come back to Jesus.

I already had an experience with somebody judging me, and yes, it pushed me to do something wrong. I already experienced something so painful, and I know that I won't make the same mistake twice. If you were to ask the Maxinne before, I would've answered yes, I am willing to destroy something precious like my future just to escape the fact of me being judge. But right now, I am very much proud of who I am, whether I am being judged or not. So, No. I am not willing to do it, for I know it will destroy not only my future but my relationship with other people as well.

Because for me, she's the only one I can feel comfortable with sharing something I don't want anyone to hear. Someone whom I know will never judge me. Someone I can trust.

For me, Zacchaeus was the tax-collector who has the reputation of being rich but blind because of his short stature and a just man yet without honor. Zacchaeus heard rumors about Jesus having magical powers of healing the sick and doing other miracles. When Jesus saw him at the sycamore tree, He called Zacchaeus, as He saw him as a just man yet a sinner. Jesus has mercy on those who repent.
During the encounter of Zacchaeus and Jesus, Zacchaeus was shocked when he was called down. He saw Jesus as an all-powerful God who can make miracles happen. Zacchaeus portrayed Jesus as an Olympian figure. As he is the God who is concerned about ordinary things yet Jesus called Zacchaeus.
Zacchaeus was a tax collector and was known for his short stature. Jesus was quite famous at that time for everyone wanted to see him badly; crowds were a lot and because of that, Zacchaeus need to climb a tree in order to see him. He is a tax collector who cheated and stole money from the people yet when Jesus saw him he said "come down quickly, I must stay at your house." People were frustrated as to why Jesus chose him despite him being a sinner. Jesus has his unconditional love towarsd sinners. This is where Zacchaeus started to convert because despite of him being a great sinner, he was chosen. Jesus loved him unconditionally and included him in his life and this caused the change of heart of Zacchaeus. Zacchaeus was known for having a bad life but Jesus accepted it and this turned him into going back to the right path. He recognized the real truth in Jesus words and acted upon it. Jesus' unconditional love and acceptance made him convert.
The condition called Napoleonic complex is a social behavior relevant to people having short stature. It is know for being overly-aggressive and a dominating character which is perceived as a stereotype for most people. The relation of the blind having a Napoleonic complex shouldn't be combined together as a label for handicapped people. Social behaviors depend on the people's environment creating their own personality and how they perceive the world.
Zacchaeus was looked down upon because of his short stature and his work. People mocked him and what he do, not noticing the good in him. He does nothing yet he is an Unhonorable man to the common people.
At a certain point in my life, a similar thing that Zacchaeus has experienced happened to me when my kindness was taken advantage of by my friends. It's given that friends would have a close relationship; give and take would be a part of that relationship. Jokes are also a part of friendship, petty jokes, yet as time goes by, they made a mockery of what I do and how I do things that didn't even hurt them at any way. I have nothing against them, but now in a positive perspective, I learned that you need to be careful who you choose to be friends with. and it's not about the quantity, but the quality when it comes to choosing friends.

I can compare myself to Zacchaeus because just like himIcan sometimes become blinded because of my goal without me realizing that what I was doing is already wrong which can cause bad relationships to me and the people around me. Sometimes this desire to reach my goal is just as the same as Zacchaeus's desire for a better image of himself to other people. Which is why I see myself as Zacchaeus in that story.

The image of God that was portrayed by Jesus to Zacchaeus in the story was the image of a magician/ miracle worker. Jesus's works of miracle spread like wildfire and eventually the news of His good works, reached Jericho, the kingdom where Zacchaeus lived, and upon hearing those news, he became curious that's why when Jesus arrived at Jericho, he was eager to see who and what the 'miracle worker' looks like.

Zacchaeus's encounter with Jesus made him saw God in a different image; he saw Him in the image of a man, a friend, a father, a brother in shortan image that he is accustomedto which made him feel at ease making it easy for him to approach Jesus.

His encounter with Jesus made him realize that he is not that different of a person from Him; maybe he made some bad decisions in the past but due to his encounter with him, he's ready to make amends for everything he has done in his life

Yes I have overcome some of my goals in life but my desire varies depending on what my goal is, for example my desire to join a marathon is different from my desire to finish my studies, both have different ways in achieving the goal, and I'd do anything to achieve them even if it means sacrificing my physical and mental state

thank you for your inquiry. I came to the idea that His works of miracle proliferated like wildfire because Israel is a huge country, and for one Man to be widely known all over Israel, He must've done something great for the people to know Him that well, and the proof of that is because of all the miracles He has done for the people of Israel.

I usually come to the realization that I have done something bad when I have already done it, so there's nothing more I can do but to ask for forgiveness to the people I caused harm to, and hope to be forgiven. For me I think the key to fixing a bad relationship is through good communication, because by communicating both parties would come to realize what the root of the problem is, and maybe come to the conclusion of reconciliation to one another
