In the beginning of spring of my Freshman year, my boyfriend decided to take me on a hike at Sleeping Giant State Park. Explaining to him that I have never hiked before, I was told that we would take the easy trail to the castle; I was lied to, HAHA. A few moments into the hike I realized that I was definitely not on an easy path, in fact, I was on the hardest trail of them all. I remember being so exhausted and frustrated with my boyfriend, but little did I know, it would be so amazing. When we came toward the top of the trail, I turned to look at a beautiful view of not only Quinnipiac University, but of the state. It was so amazing and at the moment I knew how worth this exhausting experience was. I'm so glad I found a hike that is close to home, so that I can get out of my house for a bit. This 1,000-acre park consists of the beautiful Eightmile River's Chapman Falls. The hike is just as great as it is to look at the falls.
