7:25 - 7:55 Morning Work

Before the students come in, please pull up the ClassroomScreens link and display it on the board. This link can be found on the Padlet I attached to your sub job through SmartFind OR on the flashdrive that I left with these sub plans. If it gives you an option, click “morning screen”. When it pulls up on the laptop, you will have to drag the screen to the left to get it to the Recordex. This screen will help the students know what to do in the morning.

As students are coming in, they should be unpacking their folders and putting them in their “folder pocket” (Black pocket chart on wall by door). They also need to take their water bottles out of their bookbags and put them on the back counter. When all of this is done, they should be working on their morning work, which is in their folder pocket. Please make sure that each student starts with their paper morning work sheet. They should do Wednesday's section and make sure the rest of the paper is complete. When they are done, they should turn this page in and then get on TypingClub.

This is a quiet time, so please remind them that they need to be working and not talking. We have a few friends that will wander around in the morning, talk to everyone and not complete their morning work, so please stay on them to be in their seats and working.

The alarm that is set on the morning screen will go off at 7:55. This is when they should start cleaning up.

7:55 - 8:00 Take Attendance

After everyone is cleaned up and quietly back in their seats, please take attendance on the pink laminated paper. Start with Chesney on the attendance sheet and ask each student how they go home. Below I have put the ways they should be going home today. Check with Jill, she may have a note or she will tell you ASP.

Typical Transportation -

Bus – Nate, Gregory, Magnolia, Asher, Emma, Riley , Claire

ASP – Arya, Parker

Car – Chesney, Jaxon, Maggie, Bryson, Madden, Olivia

Mom’s Room – Isaac, Hensley, Connor, Madison, Abram, Lincoln

After completing the attendance sheet, please have Gregory take it to the front office.

8:05 - 8:50 Reading DI

During Reading DI today, Ms. Bowman will be leading 3 groups at the back table. The students that are not with her should either be doing Epic or their grammar sheet. You can look at the DI slide to determine which they should be doing. Each time the bell rings, Ms. Bowman will ask the groups to switch. Please aid students as needed. Everyone should clean up around 8:48 for specials.

8:55 - 9:40 Specials

My class has Music today. Please have them walk down the hall on a zero noise level. If they are doing well, give them a tally mark on the Green Gotcha roster so I can give them a point tomorrow! Please head back to art around 9:35 to pick up the class. If they come out with a Green Gotcha, give them a tally on the roster so I can add it tomorrow.

9:45 - 10:40 Brown's Homeroom Writing Segment

**Zuri in Ms. Brown’s homeroom has a medical condition. She is allowed to go to the restroom whenever she needs and she can keep a water bottle with her at all times. If she starts complaining with any kind of pain or being too cold, please send her back to Ms. Brown.*

When the class comes in and gets ready, Ms. Bowman will hand out their research packets. We talked extensively about research yesterday, so each pair of partners should be researching quietly together. The pairs can move around the room at this point to wherever they are most comfortable to work. They should be answers the first set of questions in their packet. Ms. Bowman was here on Monday for the overview, so she can give them a reminder if needed.

10:40 - 11:20 Clark's Homeroom Writing Segment Part 1

This class will be starting with their research as well. Ms. Bowman will hand out packets and give a refresher if needed. Pairs should be quietly working together on their research.

I should be back around 11:00.

The Door Must Remain Closed All Day

For safety reasons, when students are in class, the door must remain closed. Students should close it when they leave the room and knock to re-enter.

Hensley - Heart Condition, typically no issues but you may see her rubbing her chest. If she continuously complains of heart or chest hurting, please see the protocol on the pink sheet in the sub folder (found on the black shelf).

Class 3 - Cardon's Homeroom

Gabe - Asthma

Remi - Allergy: Ants

Bella - Diabetic - If she gets too high or too low (below 90 or above 250), send to the nurse.

Emergency Plans

In case there is a fire of fire drill -

Grab the red bag behind the door.

Turn right out of the classroom door and then left down the main hallway.

Turn left on the first hallway.

Walk all the way across the parking lot and have the students line up on a white line.

Call roll from the roster in the bag (check for which class you have).

All students are SILENT and facing the main road.

If you have all students, hold up the GREEN card from inside the bag.

If you are missing a student, hold up the RED card.

If you have a student from another class, hold up the YELLOW card.

In case there is a lockdown or lockdown drill -

Shut the door.

Roll down the poster on the back of the door.

Shut the lights off.

The kids will hide wherever the can and should remain SILENT.

Block and barricade the door in a real event.

Quietly call students' names. If you are missing ANY students, text Ms. Arnold or Mrs. Cameron.

In case of a severe weather lockdown or drill -

Grab the red bag behind the door.

Students should line up and move into the hallway.

Move towards that main hallway and look for the "severe weather area" signs hanging of the top of the wall.

Have students sit with their backs against the walls as close together as possible.

Use the roster to make sure you have all students.

If you have all students, hold up the GREEN card from inside the bag.

If you are missing a student, hold up the RED card.

If you have a student from another class, hold up the YELLOW card.

Students are to remain SILENT and should be instructed to put their heads between their knees.
