The session will include:

• An introduction to the European institutions and their competencies in the cultural sector

• An overview of basic advocacy tools, such as the Transparency Register and the Legislative Train

• Practical guidance on advocacy strategies tailored to different EU institutions, including:

  • Public consultations and online platforms

  • Informal exchanges with stakeholders

  • Formal instruments like petitions, complaints to the Ombudsman, and campaigns

• Participants will engage in a hands-on exercise following a structured 10-step advocacy process, equipping them with practical knowledge to effectively advocate within the EU framework.
