For each group's F1 generation, the plants were entirely purple stemmed. In the F2 generations, each group had a combination between purple and green stemmed plants, but a majority were purple stemmed. For the entire class, the ratio of purple to green stemmed plants in the F2 generation was about 3:1.

We learned that the genotypes and phenotypes of offspring can be predicted using the principle of genetics. I would have liked to see the offspring of two F2 plants if time allotted. I performed well as well as my group. We had the correct number of seeds in each petri dish and each dish was correctly labelled. In our F2 dish, one seed did not sprout which only gave us 14 plants, instead of 15.
