Archaebacteria organisms are classified as such when they are single cell and lack a cell nucleus. Archaebacteria always qualify as Prokaryotic organisms. Archaebacteria organisms have cell walls made of Polysaccharides. Archaea contribute to the functioning of the ecosystem and vegetation by performing functions involved in nutrient cycling, stress response, and phytohormone biosynthesis. Archaea have a semi-rigid cell wall that protects them from the environment. Archaea reproduce asexually by binary or multiple fission, fragmentation, or budding.

Archaebacteria are autotrophs.
