- Liu Rui = Good writing for 2 instruments, good use of counterpoint. Good playing.
- Xinyi = Good playing individually, can afford to rehearse more. Think it'll be worth exploring melodic concepts.
- Luo Wei = Good piece. Be careful about structural make up of Scherzo & Trio. Good playing.
- Zhaolong = Nil.

Good playing.
- Mia = Nil.
- Hui Jing = Great piece. Violin seems like a more intuitive fit. Would be useful to note that viola is usually scored with alto clef.

-Liu Rui: sounds quite classical... though it's hard to get a romantic sound with just a two-voice texture. Maybe more chromaticism in the voices?
-Xinyi: I like the colour of the marimba tremelo chords! Cool sound. Maybe explore the range and timbres of the instruments more, not just the romantic harmonies?
-Luo Wei: Nice piece! Effective use of chromatic mediant modulation in the Trio (F - Ab). But each section is a bit too short to show the structure of each section (binary)

Composition made great use of sonority/color (warm cello + bell-like piano) building tension (piano alternating notes).
Clear presentation, especially the clear outline of the whole piece

Mvt 2 – Shearerlyn (Intermezzo)

Enjoyed the performance! Expressive piano playing, cellist was well prepared as well. The composition was very coherent, melody is surprisingly lyrical. Presentation was very descriptive+clear, but could have been organized clearer.

Mvt 4 – Hui Jiung (Rondo)

Composition had really nice sections, accompaniment interacted well with melody. The presentation was a quick overview of piece, could afford to spend more time on romantic features.
