By reading the text we can understand that making connection has three different ways. The first way is making connections to myself, I can make connection with many books and stories and i can relate to them in so many different ways this helps me understand myself and the people around me. the second type of connection is text to text where people can make different connections with another piece of text by seeing the similarities in either the characters or the events or even the plot. The third type is text to world this type of connection refers to making connection with this text to events happening in the world.

Every genre has it's own characteristics which allow them to stand out from others for example, fictional text can have unrealistic events and traits and textbooks state only facts on the given topic. This allows the cultured reader to build relationships for the text they're reading. Relationships can come in many forms which are, Text to self, Text to Text and Text to world. Every person has their own identity based on their origin, their personal experience and beliefs. When two people meet they begin constructing a relationship whether good or bad between one another.
