If you want to find a good website that you can trust then you should start off by checking the URL. The URL can tell you a lot about the website before you look through it. The websites end in these URL's, “the U.S. government funds website with addresses ending in ".gov," educational institutes maintain ".edu" sites, noncommercial organizations' addresses often use ".org," and ".com" denotes a commercial organization” (Evaluating & Using Health Information Wisely, 3). If it is governmental or school funded then it is more likely to have truthful facts on the site. If it is commercially funded then it is more likely to be fake and spread rumors and untrue facts about a product.
When there is an emergency it is better to take an ambulance. An ambulance can get you to the hospital faster than riding with a family member or friend. The book stated, “For certain medical emergencies, such as a heart attack or stroke, taking an ambulance is safer because paramedics can deliver life-saving care on the way to the hospital” (Accessing Health Products & Services, 7). If you ride alone or with someone else it will not get you to the care you need, fast enough and you could get injured worse or you could even die. There are two major services that people can use in emergency situations. They are the ER and Urgent Care. They are different but their goals are the same. The ER is meant for extreme emergencies, “The emergency department was designed to provide fast, life-or-limb-saving care” (Accessing Health Products & Services, 6). This can include anything from a fever with a rash to a major head injury. This helps you get fast care that you need specifically for your situation so that no time is wasted. The Urgent Care is used as a same day clinic. It is for when the doctors office is closed and you need fast help but it is not a major emergency. The book stated, “Urgent care departments are same-day clinics that can handle a variety of conditions that need to be treated right away but are not emergencies” (Accessing Health Products & Services, 8). This is used for anything from a fever with no rash to a sever sore throat. Many people do not know when to use which one. Having this basic information can be helpful in any situation. CPR can also be helpful in an emergency situation. CPR can save someones life and help them get the oxygen to their brain to help prevent brain damage. Beginners can use the following CPR method, “If you're not trained in CPR, then provide hands-only CPR. That means uninterrupted chest compression's of about 100 a minute until paramedics arrive. You don't need to try rescue breathing” (Basic First Aid and CPR Procedures, 9). Many people do not know how to do CPR and with this basic information they can help save someones life. No one knows when an emergency can happen so it is best to be prepared.

One of the products that I found online was a list of vitamins. I clicked on vitamin C on a spreadsheet. Vitamin C is important for everyday minerals and it comes in vitamins so that people can fulfill there everyday need. This website ended in .gov and it had a spreadsheet listing their studies. Finally it had information about what they are and their sources. The next thing I found was first aid kit. This was also another .gov website which means that the government funds it. It lists its studies and sources. But it also lists what is in the first aid and when to use it. This is useful because you never know when someone is going to get hurt. The final one I found was an AED. I do not believe that this website is good because its URL ends in .org. It also does not list the source or studies conducted. But it does list how to use it and what it is for. An AED is good in reviving people in an emergency.
