Our group wants to propose some new rules to improve our university. We think these changes can make our daily life much better and more comfortable for everyone.

First, the university must provide clean restrooms for all students. The administration has to put toilet paper, hand soap, and Colgate toothpaste in every bathroom. This is very important for our hygiene and health.

Second, we need better rules for the classrooms. Professors mustn't lock the doors as soon as the class starts. They have to wait at least 10 minutes for every student. If a student is a little late, they can enter the room without problems during this time.

Third, we want to talk about midterm week. During this week, professors can't give us heavy homework or extra activities. Students don't have to do big projects during exams because we need to study. We must focus only on our tests to get good grades.

Cliver Clavijo

David Pérez

Vicente Chávez

Isabella Gambin

All students have to respect the rules of the university to ensure a safe and supportive environment. Students can ask questions whenever they have doubts, and these must be clarified by the professor. Bullying mustn't be tolerated, as respect is essential for everyone.

The university must provide access to lunch and snacks, and students can use free transportation during the semester. This benefit has to continue until they finish their degree. Students have to receive psychological support during their academic journey. The library must remain open 24 hours from Monday to Saturday.

To make learning more engaging, students must participate in a “skill exchange” day each semester, where they teach something they know. It can be any topic and it doesn't have to be academic.

Classes must include at least one outdoor session, since learning can't always be limited to classrooms.

During long classes, students have to take short “focus breaks.” They can relax, but they mustn't use social media. Finally, students mustn't leave shared spaces dirty and have to help keep the campus clean.

María Angélica Haeckermann Abuabara.

Natalia Vanesa Ramírez Ortega.

Karen Dayana Florian Cuello.

Daniel Ramirez Rodriguez.

It takes into account that AI is a tool that can be used to become a better student, and students can provide feedback on what they've learned. I think students at this university will be more creative and perform better.

Proposal for New Technology Rules at the University

The university should promote responsible use of technology to ensure a safe and productive academic environment. First, students must use computers and institutional networks responsibly. They should respect privacy and security policies, and they must not attempt to hack, access without authorization, or modify any system. Any violation will be strictly sanctioned.

Second, the use of mobile phones in class should be regulated. Students may use their phones only for academic purposes, such as research or educational apps, when the teacher allows it. Otherwise, phones must be kept silent and out of sight to avoid distractions.

Finally, the use of artificial intelligence tools should be clearly defined. Students can use AI to support learning, such as for brainstorming or explanations, but they must not use it to complete assignments dishonestly. Teachers should explain when AI use is allowed and when it is not.

By following these rules, students and staff can create a respectful and secure technological environment.

Brad Pitalua

Julian Payares

Sebastian Cervantes

It seems like a very good proposal because it focuses on real student needs, such as hygiene, flexibility in classes, and academic workload. The rules are clear and use modal verbs correctly. Also, the ideas are practical and would help improve the university experience.

- Students must complete a short understanding check at the end of each class. This could be a quick activity where we explain the topic in our own words or solve one real problem, so teachers can see if we really understood.

- Instead of traditional homework, professors could assign application tasks. Students should use what they learned in real-life situations, like small projects or case-based questions. This would make learning more useful and less repetitive.

- To improve learning, the university could implement priority content guides. In each subject, professors must clearly show what is essential, what is complementary, and what is optional. This would help students focus on what really matters and avoid feeling overwhelmed.

- Students should also have feedback sessions every few weeks. In these sessions, they could discuss what is working and what is not, so classes can improve during the course, not only at the end.

- Also, students should track their own progress weekly. The university may provide simple digital tools where we can see what we understand and what we need to improve.

Salomé Orozco

Laura Flórez

Astrid García

Laura Villegas
