I feel like anyone who knows me are actually familiar with this show now because I often blabber about it on my social media accounts [..too often ㅠㅠ].

So...

I watched this show on the summer of 2022. Its almost been 2 years ever since but up to this day I still enjoy looking back at it.

At the time, I was heads over heels for this show and event went to the extent of reading the book of which the show was based on, Silence of the Lambs. I fell in love with every aspect of the show--from the plot, the theme, the pilot and finale, and especially the actors and actresses who played my favorite characters. ♡

Although this hyperfixation has worn off [I really thought it wouldn't], many of the songs, books and even shows I read, listen and watch to to this day are heavily influenced by this show. Maybe I am overstretching it but it has somewhat became a part of my identity. The love I have for it really pushed me to write and express myself in a manner I thought I couldn't.

If only I could watch it like the first time again.

From personality and humor-wise, I can say that I had been influenced by one of the show's main character, Jake Peralta. He is actually one of the characters I kin and relate to the most. His witty charm and lighthearted approach to life resonated with me!

I still remember crying and sobbing so much when it all had to come to an end ㅠ.ㅠ

I distinctly remember being hesitant of actually watching the entire show and would just leave myself satisfied with glimpses of it.

...Eventually I finally decided to sit down and watch it. It was so much more than being a funny show. It has taught me a lot and given me insights about life and I bet its been the same for everyone else who's watched it.

I forever will cherish this show because of the perspective its given me in regards to my life and for starting my craze over sitcoms!

It was just chaos every episode and sometimes found myself frustrated at the characters but I think that's the beauty of the show that got me even interested from the start.

I'm still currently watching it whenever I get the free time. I find it odd that I didn't binge watch this one unlike the rest of the shows I'm crazy about but I guess I'm just savoring the beauty of it.

It's a nonprofit website that allows you to post stories (fanfiction as well as original works) and basically, the rule is there are no rules.

Users can make profiles, create works and other content, post comments, give Kudos to writers, create collections and bookmarks, participate in challenges, import works and so much more!

There are abundance of works catering to all sorts of genre and fandoms that you could possibly think of written by many talented people here! [awesome~~(˚0˚)!!]

What do I do here though?

So, on a day to day basis, I'm usually surfing the browser looking for fanfictions to read on AO3. If I have time then I sometimes would work on my drafts and upload my works though, now a days I don't get to do that because I'm pre-occupied most of the time.

Through social media, I am not only able to stay connected with my friends but also updated with my other interests! I am a part of many groups on social media where other users and I share the same amusements which makes my social life more jolly.

Everyday, I interact and share on social media. And its been a big part of my life, to say the least.

I can't stay put without music. In every tasks I do--may it be chores, school works, or waiting at the stop, I would always have my earphones on playing Spotify.

I'm a music lover through and through and Spotify has always just been convenient for me to listen to my favorite songs. In various ways, Spotify has accompanied me in my everyday life. Whenever I felt down or felt the happiest, I always have albums prepared to listen to...

Both the original version and this adaptation has made me think about learning sign language. I did not only enjoy the romance between the two main characters but also found beauty in the absence of words and noise.

This honestly gave me peace because of how the series' innocently depict the love story between the characters.

[If circumstances permit, I would definitely devote my time learning sign language!]

What is a "Hyperfixation" you may ask? It is when someone is fully immersed in an interest--so much so that everything else around them is tuned out.

Having said that, most of my hyperfixations are from tv shows & movies.

A thing about me is that...

I never really took myself for someone who would enjoy and consume so much shows and movies ATLEAST not until the pandemic hit. I remember being more of a bookworm person who shied away from other forms of media such as socials and streaming media. Although of course that has changed now, it has just always come to my surprise that what once was an unfamiliar territory for me would become my source of comfort and connection ˃ᴗ˂

I am a huge romance fan (if its not obvious already) and I just loved how it was a faithful adaptation to the source material, warm humor and relatable characters. It also was in a form of miniseries (6 episodes in total!) instead of a movie which made it more digestible.

I still always lookup my favorite clips from the series that I liked to give me heart-fluttering moments for whenever I am down.

[This really jumpstarted my love for male characters who has an aristocratic and flowery way of their words.]

I've probably watched it a ton of times already but each time is like the first time. I already know how it would end but it never fails to get me thrilled or flutter my heart.

It's just purely magical and the plot came straight out of a fantasy which made me love it.

As you can see, I've added my own flair to it by conveying how much each post mean to me. I hope that through this, you would get to know more a lot about me!

Its just a good app overall. Its a visual discovery engine therefore making it a suitable app for finding ideas to spark inspirations. Speaking of ideas, it has a lot like for recipes, home and style inspiration, different types of aesthetics, and so much more!

Its always been a reliable app for me since its become a source for many of my works and the way I dress.

It might sound odd but I always get the adrenaline rush of pure excitement whenever I realize I'm starting to hyperfixate on something! It's like I reach my peak when I'm in that intensely interested state of mind. This surge of emotions makes me feel more motivated and engaged with everything around me.

Beyond that, these media have comforted my life in so many ways that I don't think no other person could. Whenever I connect with a movie, a tv show, a game or even a community online, its always just made me the happiest.

And what's even better is that it feels like they're just for me. They're special in a way that's hard to explain, and they bring a unique kind of joy to my life.

On the positive side, it has given me joy, motivation, and a sense of connection with everyone and everything else. Its helped me discover myself such as the things I like and dislike or what makes me laugh or sad. Personally, these media contributed to my personal growth. I am the person that I am now who I can call special and talented thanks to these.

However, there have been instances where these media have interfered with my daily life. I've been so much of a chronically online person that I unintentionally detach myself from reality. Now a days, I often skip my meals and proper care towards my body to attend to interests that could just wait. More so, it enables my slumps and makes it difficult for me to direct my attention towards a matter that's significantly important. Sometimes I get to a point where I feel like my health--both mentally and physically, has deteriorated because of media taking a toll on my time management and responsibilities.

Honestly, I've become more self aware by my patterns and habits. And I've come to understand that recognizing the downsides of it all is the first step but its a gradual process.

At the moment, I'm still working towards redirecting my attention to essential matters and finding a middle ground where I can still enjoy my interests without compromising my overall well-being.

Breaking old habits and establishing new, healthier routines will take time, but I'm committed to making these positive changes for a better and more balanced life.

Although I am not marvel-comic literate, watching it has been lovely for me. Many characters, protagonists and even villain, are a lot relatable in many ways for me. But the one thing they all have in common is probably their flawed and complex nature.

I've watched all 33 movies of MCU and still yet to finish the series. Currently, I am watching Loki Season 2. The franchise did every characters justice and gave them strong storylines!

Always asses our media consumption then we'll have a more balanced and healthy life.

Now, I'm try to give my well being my utmost undivided attention by taking care of my diet healthily, keeping in touch with the environment (the LITERAL environment) and to socialize with my friends and family in real life. So far, I feel much more better about myself and less guilty about being unproductive sometimes.
