Calculation Guide - “Terminated staff will be counted if they have a Rehire Date before the Enrollment Year End Date OR their Termination Date is on or after the Program Begin Date. If Replaced is selected for terminated staff, they will only count for questions B.2, B.2.a and B16 – B.18.”

The PIR counts the staff member who held the position during the PIR begin/end dates. If the staff member who held the position left, we still want to get credit for having that position this program term. If the staff member is replaced during the same program term, PIR will continue to focus on the original staff member until Replaced is checked. When it’s checked ChildPlus will focus on the new staff who has the same PIR Position checked. If the staff member leaves and is not replaced the same program term, they will not count in the next program term’s PIR because their termination date is before the begin date.
