Just filed my 2024 income tax and I'm owing $552 which was surprising to me. I filed our household income with turbotax and was told I will be getting back $3900 dollars. This started a whole slew of phone calls to CRA for me to figure out what is going on. Turns out I have not filed my taxes from 2012-2021 and it affected my tuition transfer. I got it sorted and CRA is going to mail me my tax froms for the years I can't access online. It really opened a whole can of worms that I was not expecting. I'm glad I'm getting this sorted out though. Wish me luck filing half of those return via paper and mail!

Beside the $500 dollars that I owe CRA! Not all debt are bad debt so I want to get my credit score up so I can potentially own property one day.

I would invest 10k into my TFSA. I'd invest 5K into VEQT 100% stock and to play it safe I'd put the other 5k into VGRO so I have some bonds in my portfolio.

Distribution per unit: $0.08 annually

Vanguard is the biggest financial insitution globally so I feel safe investing in them. They own everything and even though the US stock market is down right now. I feel that the Vanguard won't let themselve go under. Might be good that it is down so I can buy low and hold.

I bought this stock as per recommended by a peer during school. I wanted to get a piece of crypto but i'm scared to buy cryto so I feel like a crypto EFT is a safer option.

Hoping it will recover once the market bounces back.

GIC (4.95%) in a TFSA

This seem like a good option as well but I have to look into it more. I would like to get guaranteed compounding interest on my investment. I have to see if I can split the $660 I put in my TFSA monthly to buy different tools.
