         <description><![CDATA[<div>- Literacy is: The different ways we communicate and understand the world and information.&nbsp;<br>There are so many more literacies than the traditional known examples of reading and writing&nbsp;<br>-Music as literacy - interpretation of lyrics and of music, as well as reading and writing notes<br>-using social media, and being critical of what they are reading and absorbing<br>-Once you have an understanding of basic literacy skills, you can then apply them in more interesting and diverse ways- poetry, paintings, dance, music, drama etc.<br>-Being able to apply different medias&nbsp;<br>across different mediums - transmediation- happens when the understanding becomes intrinsic, and then can be naturally applied to other areas </div>]]></description>
