What is your biggest regret in life?

Probably not spending much time with my grandpa before he died. I still miss him everyday he was my father figure growing up

What was an important day that you remember and why?

I would say my last day of senior year because it was like a very special day. All my teachers were very nice and said so many sweet things about how they loved seeing me grow as a student. I ended up crying a lot and I miss it.

If you could give a younger person life advice, what would you say to them?

Not to care too much about other people's opinions about you, because that changes how to feel and think about yourself. That can be so hurtful ,especially at such a young age when you are figuring out who you are or wanna be.

Who is someone that inspired you, talk a little bit about that person?

Probably my aunt, your mom. I feel like I'm gonna cry talking about this. I don't know, I want to be like her, she's just a person to look up to with how she was able to move so far away and accomplish so much at a young age.

Tell me a funny story of something that happened to you?

When I was living in the US, I used to pretend that I had an Indian accent to cover up my Brazilian one. I also look very dark around the summer and have dark long hair. My uncle would always tell me to drop the Indian accent but I just found it funny. There was this time when an Indian family approached me as I was volunteering and spoke Hindi with me. I of course did not understand and it was very awkward but a funny story

Tell me about a passion or interest you have. When did you become interested in this?

I like to write poems and have done that since I was nine. They were not really good back then, but now that they are, I have a little book that I keep all of them in. They're mostly about love, like heartbreak, but also about life usually sad poems.

Tell me about a important possession to you and why it means something so much?

I would say my bible. It means so much because when everything is a mess, dark, and lonely, I can just read it and everything comes to peace. It's like a little light in my life. My faith is very important to me especially now that I am older.

How did it feel to move to the US for a year, and how do you think that changed you?

It made me realize a lot. When I first moved there, I didn't like it because I wasn't used to changes. But then with time, I got used to being there and I realized that time was going by so fast and I just wanted to stay longer. I made beautiful connections and I feel like I learned a lot, I just wish I had enjoyed it more at the time. I miss those times a lot. Sorry, I feel like I'm gonna cry just thinking about it. But I miss those times and I feel like I've grown so much as a person and as a woman and I enjoy that a lot.

This is Campo Grande, where I was born and lived most of my life. I am an only child and live with my mom and a brand new kitten. This city means so much to me because it's where I have gone to school met my best friends and more. I owe everything to my city and it's also why I can't stand the cold I think the lowest it gets around here is 70 degrees.

This is the courthouse of my city. I big and impactful part of my life was my parents divorce. My mother and father got divorced when I was younger. Many years went by where I was in shared custody between the both of them. After many years of mistreatment with my father my mom started a court case against him for full custody. After a year or so I was free from my dad. Even today we still have problems with him not following his contract and paying parental support. Now that I am 18 one of my big goals is to remember to choose wisely... to keep people in my life that will always be there for me and treat me well.
