The nurse measures the infant's vital signs as the following: heart rate 110, respiratory rate 75, temperature 99 ° F, O2 sat 89%, and BP 70/40. The infant's skin is pink and warm with a stork bite on the back of her neck. The nurse measures the infant's head circumference 8 cm higher than at birth. Her fontanels are slightly bulging but soft. The infant's ears are small and low set. The nurse does not hear a heart murmur. The nurse notes nasal flaring, subcostal retractions on the baby’s chest, and hears audible wheezing. Lucy’s belly is soft and nondistended.
