I moved from my hometown which is in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. If you did not know, Baton Rouge is a 426 mile drive to Dallas Texas. Moving away from some of my best friends was very hard because I was meeting new people and had to get used to a different school system.

He was in the military and lived very close to us. He ended up going to a nursing home and passed away.

I'm grateful that I spent the summer with him because if I hadn't, I would be sad and guilty. I never got the ability to see my siblings but I was finally able to meet them. I wasn't too worried about it because I knew he would want me to be strong.
