I found this video relevant because it talks goes over what the Charter is and why it is important. It goes over how the Charter sets us aside from other countries in that our rights and freedoms are protected. Part of the rights set out in the Charter are the mobility rights of all Canadians which enables us to move freely in and out of Canada

This is the legal case that I have chosen for this assignment. In brief it has to deal with extraditing Canadians for crimes they have committed outside of Canada and wether extraditing them is a reasonable violation of their mobility rights to remain in Canada. A more in depth explaination of this legal case is provided in the word doc.

This is another legal case that I found that was very interesting in terms of mobility rights. To summarize this case There were two boys who were accused of murdering one of the boys family's in the United States. The U.S wanted to have the boys extradited which is a violation of their mobility rights however is deemed a reasonable violation. In addition to this if the boys were found guilty they would receive the death penalty which could be viewed as cruel and unusual punishment. The Canadian judge almost sent them to the U.S without first making sure that the death penalty would not be imposed upon on the boys.
