I am very interested in incorporating technology into my classroom and want to learn more about how to do that. Coming from another generation, I did not grow up with technology so am frustrated by it constantly. My students teach me about how to use it more than I teach them. I am also very nervous, being a lower elementary teacher, about just putting it into their hands to explore. The "protective gene" kicks in to shield them from bad information.

I teach in a middle school. While I agree it's my job to teach students how to properly use technology, I've found having phones in lockers eliminates many issues that are not classroom-centered. I have zero problems with asking kids to bring their devices for certain activities. I disagree about letting students keep their personal devices. One thing that really stuck with me was when she said you have to use technology purposefully. I feel like my school has really been focusing on cutting down on printing, so I end up having students do it on their chromebooks.
