I observed some good progress in your presentation. The children set class agreements and goals, collaborated on sequencing the Gruffalo story, and explored color mixing creatively. Their focus during the mindfulness experiences was evident; please continue that. The exploration of the provocation center on celebrations was evident. The emphasis on PSED and your use of timelines, especially in math, were clear highlights.

Language and math experiences also looked strong, supporting their overall development effectively.

For future improvement, consider incorporating more hands on resources for children’s exploration. To drive deeper thinking in the Unit of Inquiry, you might invite experts to enhance the learning experience. This can enrich children's understanding and curiosity.

It was nice to see the way you welcomed the children to K2, by keeping their 'Neeli Chatri ' in the environment. Also, building agency in the children- where you respect their voice and choice is also evident in your presentation.

Loved the way children made connections with the cause and effect. The evidences show that they are developing the understanding of effects of our actions. It also organically led to the classroom agreements..wonderful. You have captured and documented the evidences really well.

Regarding the UOI, because we all are still trying to dig deeper into it, I still want to understand how intoducing the UOI by first introducing the key concept help? What was the idea/thought behind doing it that way? Did you see children making better connections that way?

I liked the way you kicked off Spirits Of Neev week with the happy group circle. It was an excellent way to start the new academic year by emphasizing the carpet rule expectations. Additionally, the bar graph showcasing the names of the children provided a great visual representation of the length of their names, which was both engaging and informative.

I wanted to share how much I liked the opportunity for children to express their understanding on the whiteboard. It’s a fantastic way for them to engage with the material and showcase their thoughts. I also liked seeing the variety of ideas implemented during SONW.

I’m curious about the "Perspective" activity—could you clarify its context? Was it part of a read-aloud, connected with the UOI, or integrated into SONW?

The evidence displayed shows that norms have been effectively established in your branch. The children are demonstrating a strong sense of belonging and solid relationships, as seen in their creation of the birthday tree, K2 community agreements, and their involvement in setting up the centers. They actively participated in establishing K2 norms and enjoyed making the birthday chart and class job chart. These experiences have fostered a strong sense of community.

The provocation center, with its celebration-themed resources, has captured their interest and sparked meaningful illustrations and discussions about celebrations. The language experiences, including games, crossword puzzles, and The Book Corner, have supported their language development well. The integration of language with UOI, such as inviting people for celebration through creative writing, has been effective.
