Additional lights can be added to enhance the photo. Distribution of the light controls the appearance. It can be separated into two characteristics: Direction and Apparent Size.
Hard Light vs Soft Light:

Hard Light - Smaller light size, abrupt shadows and highlights
Soft Light - Larger light size, gradual shadows and highlight

Portraits benefit from softer light.
To achieve softer light, use a diffuser and bounce/reflect. Closer light sources become softer. Closer light sources illuminate the subject more unevenly. Find the right angle to light from. He captures the motion and action of the subjects in interesting ways. His composition is great, and his photos really lead your eye throughout the picture. His use of symmetry and leading lines makes his photos more appealing. The way he captures his subject in their actions show a lot of emotion. The lighting in his photos is amazing. The black and white photos really emphasize the great lighting. While it might not be of the scale of which or with the substances that are presented here,   we can all agree we've  become addicted to something at one point in our lives. Whether you're a workoholic, eat too much, or just really into that new tv show, we all have our vices and they can consume us just as easily as we consume them.
