ChatGPT was employed to enhance grammar and punctuation, brainstorm synonyms, and assist with general sentence flow and readability of my work. Examples of prompts used include: “other terms for ‘global north’”, “synonyms for tumultuous, turbulence related to a difficult stage of development”, “are there too many commas in this sentence?”, “should I remove ‘while’ in the second sentence as it connotes something that opposes the first clause, when in actual fact the second clause is simply an extension of the first clause?”, “less stringent term for ‘examining’”, “other words that indicate varied responses, such as a ‘turn’”. I modified outputs to generate new responses if they were unsatisfactory, utilising various outputs to help revise my writing, specifically the grammatical accuracy, punctuation, or flow of small sections of text.
