First being that he is very smart and works his way through really tough situations " So three sheep could convey each man, I took the wooliest ram, the choicest of the flock, and hung myself under his kinka belly"(Homer 380). Odysseus also displays leader, "Now, by the gods I drove my big hand spike deep in the embers, charring it again, and cheated my men along with battle talk to keep their courage up: no quitting now."(Homer 406-409). Another trait displayed is bravery "much have I suffered, labored long and hard by now and the waves and wars. Add this to the total-bring the trial on" (Homer 245-248). I believe Odysseus strongest character trait is his cunning and wisdom, he uses that tool primarily to work through the difficult situation he faces.
