Gardener: General Theory- Believed we had 8 different intelligences.
Strength- I think one of the strengths of this theory is that is reaches a larger spectrum of people to have the opportunity to be considered intelligent in some aspect of life.
Weakness- A weakness of this theory would be that it takes away the true meaning of what intelligence actually is (according to spearman).

Sternberg: General Theory: Believed you could only have 3 intelligences, practical, analytical, and creative.
Strength- Reaches a larger spectrum people but keeps the levels of intelligence simple and more refined (unlike gardener).
Weakness- People could argue that creativity shouldn’t fall in the intelligent category, but since Sternberg includes creativity why wouldn’t he consider other levels like Gardener?

Spearman: General Theory- Used factor analysis to discover his g or General intelligence which is a set intelligence level.
Strength- A lot of people agree with this theory and have created numerous test based on this theory.
Weakness- Limited people can be considered intelligent according to his theory but the actual definition of intelligence says otherwise.
